VERO BEACH FL (January 20 2026) – The Emerson Center welcomes Dr. Jeff Eble Florida Program Director at Hubbs-SeaWorld Research Institute (HSWRI) for an engaging E-Series lecture Marine Mammals at Risk: The Fight to Save IRL Dolphins and Manatees on Tuesday January 20 2026 at 7:00 p.m.

This compelling presentation will take audiences behind the scenes of efforts to protect and restore Indian River Lagoon marine mammals after more than a decade of harmful algal blooms and widespread seagrass loss. Dr. Eble will share how HSWRI is addressing these challenges through scientific research rapid-response rescue missions and innovative aquaculture projects that support habitat recovery.

Attendees will hear real-life stories from the field and discover how science rescue and community action are shaping a healthier future for the lagoon’s iconic dolphins and manatees.
