On April 15, Let’s Talk Gifford will bring Gifford's past and present to the stage, from the community’s early days along the rail line and river to the creation of the Gifford Youth Achievement Center and the work of the Gifford Historical Museum & Cultural Center.

We will also take a moment to honor the late Freddie Woolfork, whose leadership at GYAC changed the lives of so many in Gifford and across the county.

Our panel:

Joe N. Idlette, III, President, Progressive Civic League of Gifford

Dr. A. Ronald Hudson, first Black principal and first Black assistant superintendent in Indian River County and co‑founder of the Gifford Youth Achievement Center

Tony Brown, President, Indian River County NAACP

Jonnie Mae Perry, Executive Director, Gifford Historical Museum & Cultural Center

Jay Lundy, Youth Employment Program Director, GYAC

The evening will open with remarks from Mayor John Cotugno followed by a conversation moderated by Baerbel O’Haire.
