- **Event Description**: Last meeting of 2025! We'll hear from Dawn "Gramma D" Guenette about how it went the first year at the new "8 Sisters" garden at sncəcmałqtn Agricultural Park Land in the BX. This was the culmination of years of planning, prepping and then hours and hours of time planting, tending and harvesting corn, squash and a few beans (inspired by Indigenous "3 sisters" planting method). These plants support each other, and the group also added flowers for pollinators and pest control. Dawn will share the challenges, successes and photos from the site and discuss dreams for 2026.
If you've never been to our group before, ALL ARE WELCOME, newbies, too! We meet on the last Wednesday of each month (not December tho) at the library to chat about all things permaculture.
We are a friendly group of DIYers, gardeners, curious community members and generally a-plus folks.
This event is FREE, offered as a "share the surplus" gift hosted by Keli Westgate, Owner and Certified Permaculture Designer of Lekker Land Design.
