One of the presentations that caught my attention at this year's ASCO Annual Meeting 2026 focused on something many cancer survivors experience but often struggle to find support for: anxiety, fatigue, insomnia, and emotional distress.

A Phase III randomized clinical trial found that a structured yoga program significantly improved mood disturbance, anxiety, fatigue, and sleep quality among cancer survivors. Researchers concluded that gentle yoga may offer a powerful non-pharmacologic approach to improving survivorship and overall quality of life.

This is another reminder that cancer care is about more than treating disease. It is also about supporting the whole person—mind, body, and spirit.
