Love Your Body Flow: fundraiser for the Burlington NEDA walk
In this flow class, we will connect together our breath and movement while we focus our intentions on appreciating all that our body does for us every single day! The class will include a guided breathing exercise to cultivate love to send to our bodies, as we move through a gentle yoga sequence, and end with a guided meditation. All levels are welcome!
For Jess Cohen, attending a National Eating Disorders Association (NEDA) walk was the first time she had heard her own story spoken by others, and it validated that she was not alone in her battle with an eating disorder and that recovery is possible! That first NEDA walk kick-started her journey towards physical and mental health. Yoga was a huge part of her recovery, and allowed her to finally feel home in her body.
Jess has been volunteering with NEDA for the past five years. Jess is the Burlington National Eating Disorders Association (NEDA) Walk Coordinator for 2019. NEDA is the largest nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individual sand families affected by eating disorders. NEDA serves as a catalyst for prevention, cures, and access to quality care.
Burlington, VT NEDA Walk is Sunday, April 7 at UVM Royal Tyler Theater. NEDA Walks take place all over the country, and the goal is to build community support for those struggling with an eating disorder, work to raise awareness and end stigma, as well as share local resources available in the area.
