In honor of America’s 250th birthday we are excited to present Martha Washington with a live performance from ‘Women in History’. Martha, the founding mother of America, was often thought of as a frumpy, white-haired matron but she was more than that. She was a wealthy, attractive young widow who could take her pick from Virginia aristocracy. After marrying George, she was his steadfast partner who supported him in his duties and managed the household mansion of Mt. Vernon when he was away. She was a businesswoman, a patriot, and a president’s lifelong partner. Please join us as we learn more about her.
