Welcome everyone, to Montreal Pagans' celebration of Mabon! This is a time of the year for reaping the fruits of our hard work, being grateful for what the earth offers us, and preparing for the dark months coming ahead. In the Pagan wheel of the year, Mabon is known as the second harvest - following Lughnasadh in early August!

The ritual will be bilingual as necessary for the participants who attend. The description will be updated in the coming days with more specifics about the ritual - for now, we can promise there will be a hunt in the forest for sacred, painted stones - that you will get to keep if you find!

There will be a potluck after the ritual. We're going to put a post with food ideas. We'd appreciate you commenting what you're bringing so we don't have 17 potato salads... 😛

We will meet at Angrignon metro at 2pm, just outside the doors facing the park. Guests will be given until 2:30 to show up, as we will then leave as a group to walk to our spot.

WHAT TO BRING:

- A water bottle or other drink to stay hydrated
- Food for the potluck
- A portable chair or blanket to sit on (if desired)

The event is free, but donations are welcome. No prior experience with Paganism is necessary - we ask only that you come with an open heart and mind!

Bienvenue à toutes et à tous à la célébration de Mabon organisée par Païens de Montréal! C'est le moment de l'année idéal pour récolter les fruits de nos efforts, exprimer notre gratitude envers ce que la terre nous offre, et nous préparer aux mois sombres à venir. Dans la Roue de l'année Païenne, Mabon est connue comme la deuxième fête des récoltes, succédant à Lughnasadh qui a lieu au début du mois d'août!

Le rituel sera bilingue afin de s'adapter aux participants présents. La description sera mise à jour dans les prochains jours avec plus de détails sur le rituel; pour l'instant, nous pouvons vous promettre une chasse en forêt à la recherche de pierres sacrées peintes — que vous pourrez garder si vous les trouvez !

Un repas partagé suivra le rituel. Nous allons mettre un post avec des suggestions alimentaires. On appréciera que vous répondez ce que vous voulez amener. Afin de ne pas avoir 17 salades de patates.. 😛

Rendez-vous à la station de métro Angrignon à 14h, dehors les portes. Les invités ont jusqu'à 14h30 pour arriver, car nous partirons ensuite ensemble à pied jusqu'à notre emplacement.

À APPORTER :

- Une bouteille d'eau ou une autre boisson pour rester hydraté(e)
- De la nourriture pour le repas-partage
- Une chaise pliante ou une couverture pour s'asseoir (si vous le souhaitez)

L'événement est gratuit, mais les dons sont les bienvenus. Aucune expérience préalable du paganisme n'est requise; nous vous demandons simplement de venir avec le cœur et l'esprit ouverts!
