One of our favourite themes! You'll learn all the steps and tricks you need to create a beautiful contemporary portrait in mosaic! Come and benefit from our experience and knowledge in creating contemporary and original mosaic portraits! In this workshop you'll try out all the rules and tricks of the contemporary technique created by the students of the Spilimbergo School. You'll learn how to manipulate the hammer to create the tesserae that give the school's mosaics their inimitable look; you'll learn how to mix colours, materials and shapes to create the most modern andamenti; a short theory lesson will be given for each important stage in the creation of your week. Designed for advanced students, participants must be familiar with marbles and have experience with hammer and hardie. Students will work from a pre-selected portrait to focus on learning design techniques and the application of materials.
