In this workshop you will learn the foundational techniques of sewing rope on your own machine. No rope sewing experience required—just basic machine familiarity. (You must bring your sewing machine to this class). This will be a small group setting with a maximum of 5 participants so there will be plenty of hands on instruction. During this session you will create one 6" rope bowl, two 5" coasters, one key ring and one key strap.

Lisa Curt is the owner the owner and fiber artist behind Papaya Cottage, creating handcrafted cotton rope baskets. She enjoys teaching the art of rope sewing through welcoming, hands-on classes that inspire creativity and confidence. Lisa accepts commissioned work, and her handcrafted pieces are available through her website.

Classes are non-refundable because we have limited space as the artists need to prepare. You can find another person to take your seat if you are unable to attend.
