The Marcia Bamberg Swing Quartet is one of foremost Gypsy Jazz bands that feautures the wonderful singer Marcia Bamberg, renowned guitarists John Ligthart & Ronald Weel and Daniel Gueli on double bass, who is one the most sought after players in the scene (Rosenberg Trio, Paulus Schäfer etc.).

For the workshops, jams and the concert Christiaan van Hemert will join on violin. He plays and teaches Gypsy Jazz violin and guitar all around the world, sharing stage with the most famous artists of our time.

What about you?

You can join the workshops as a singer, guitarist, bass or violin player, also if you play another instrument that is common in Gypsy Jazz.

If you are a beginner with existing knowledge of swing music or a professional trying to get more "into the style" this workshop is for you. Also great for connecting and jamming with other musicians!

Day Program

• 11:00 a.m. : Welcome brunch, meet & greet, and group assignment
• 12:30 p.m. : Separate workshops for musicians and vocalists
• 3:00 p.m. : MBSQ & CvH band workshop
• 5:30 p.m. : Break with snacks and drinks (please bring some food)
• 8:00 p.m. : Concert at De Cultuurboerderij (doors open 7:30 p.m.)
• 10:00 p.m. : Jam session!

The schedule is flexible, with plenty of time to share experiences, ask questions, and do a little jamming in between.
