Journalist en schrijver van de Nederlandse Pink Floyd biografie Wouter Bessels fungeert daarbij als ‘popprofessor’ en geeft per notering een interessante inkijk in de nummers.

Pink Floyd staat twaalf keer genoteerd in de ‘Lijst Der Lijsten’ met 3 nummers in de ‘Eredivisie’. Dit resulteert in een fantastische setlijst. Naast de spectaculaire opener ‘One Of These Days’ (plek 1057) en de absolute nummer 1 ‘Wish You Were Here’ (plek 13) is ‘Echoes’ (plek 276) een van de absolute hoogtepunten van de show. Dit nummer is met ruim 23 minuten het langste nummer in de Top2000. De band brengt ook dit nummer, uiteraard, van begin toon tot slotakkoord! Pink Floyd Project vertolkt al bijna 20 jaar met veel passie het oeuvre van Pink Floyd. Leo Blokhuis maakte een ‘Top 2000 a gogo’-item over de band en met hun bewerking van The Wall en Darkside of the Moon zette Pink Floyd Project in 2019 stevig voet aan de grond in theaterland. In december is het inmiddels een traditie om ‘Pink Floyd in de Top 2000’ te spelen; een perfecte muziekavond!
