Why grandparents? In many families, children spend quality time together with their grandparents. As well, stroke risk increases over 60 years of age and stroke is the leading cause of disability and loss among older adults. When a person experiences a stroke, they urgently need someone to notice and to call for medical help. What if your child were the closest bystander in that critical moment for a beloved grandparent?This is a five-week program – children must attend all sessions to ‘graduate’ at the end of the program.
