Ali Osman Erdoğdular, figlio del grande maestro neyzen Ömer Erdoğdular, è cresciuto in un ambiente in cui il soffio del ney era il suono della vita quotidiana. Ha iniziato a studiare lo strumento da bambino, frequentando maestri come Niyazi Sayın e Necdet Yaşar, fino a diventare uno degli interpreti più riconosciuti della nuova generazione. Dal 2015 suona per la radio-televisione di stato turca e si esibisce regolarmente in Turchia e all’estero, tra concerti, festival e cerimonie sufi.

Il suo stile è noto per la calma e la profondità del suono, qualità che lui attribuisce a un approccio meditativo al respiro. Oltre alla musica, coltiva le arti visive tradizionali ottomane, dalla calligrafia alla fotografia. Pur avendo una formazione in ingegneria chimica, Ali Osman ha scelto di dedicarsi completamente al ney, che considera non solo uno strumento, ma un modo di osservare e ascoltare il mondo.
