On September 20th a public supper at the Vassalboro Methodist Church will include some special twists. In addition to our famous baked beans, casseroles, breads, salads and pies, the menu will include ham and apples in various forms i.e. cider, salads, pies and desserts. We will also serve our customary, popular pies such as custard and lemon meringue.
Join us at the Vassalboro United Methodist Church (VUMC) at 614 Main Street/route 32 on Saturday, September 20th 4:30-6:00 p.m. (or until the food runs out). The supper is open to the public for a $10.00 donation per person. Be sure to add your name and phone number to the back side of your ticket and drop it into to the door prize drawing bucket. On September 20th the door prize will be two tickets to our last supper of this year on October 18th when the menu will include turkey and the fixings.
VUMC holds public suppers the third Saturday of every month March through October. The menu varies from month to month but the people’s favorite baked beans and pies are always included. These old-fashioned public suppers are meant to bring folks of all ages together for an affordable, healthy meal while enjoying socialization with new and old friends. Door prize drawings are for two free tickets to the next supper.
