Hillery Leebert’s hands-on weaving workshops gently guide students through the art of creating their own woven masterpieces. Using natural fibers and a variety of creative stitches, Hillery teaches in a way that feels both grounding and empowering — whether you’re brand new to fiber arts or ready to expand your skills.

Melanie Hindmarsh, a lifelong crafter with a true passion for fabric, blends sewing machine techniques with delicate hand stitching to create one-of-a-kind pieces that are as functional as they are beautiful. Her work reflects years of experience and a joyful love of making.

Throughout the event, both artists will showcase their latest creations and offer live demonstrations, sharing the soothing rhythm and creative satisfaction that comes from working with fiber.

Come and meet the artists, watch them in action, and discover the relaxing joy of fiber and fabric arts. You just might leave inspired to try something new.

The "Meet Our Artists" series of events at ARTworks Vass is designed to provide guests with an opportunity to chat with our featured artists, glimpse at their tools-of-their-trade, and learn more about their creative processes. During some of these events, you'll be able to watch your favorite artists at work, and many of our artists will host a trunks show so that guests have an opportunity to browse a larger body of work than generally represented at the gallery.  

During all of our special events, Nibbles and Sips are served.
