Kaskaskia College is hosting the NAEMT Prehospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) Provider Course, a nationally recognized, evidence-based trauma education program designed for prehospital emergency care providers at both Basic and Advanced levels.
PHTLS emphasizes critical thinking, rapid trauma assessment, and sound clinical decision-making to improve patient outcomes in the prehospital environment. The course is developed in partnership with the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma.

โข Scene size-up and provider safety
โข Airway, breathing, and ventilation management
โข Hemorrhage control and shock management
โข Spinal motion restriction and immobilization
โข Multisystem trauma care
โข Patient stabilization and transport considerations
