Western Front Opening - Lee Kit: Henry (Have you ever been this low ?)
Please join us for the opening of Lee Kit's solo exhibition Henry (Have you ever been this low ?)
Exhibition: November 18th - January 14th
Lee Kit has developed a new body of work for the second exhibition in his apartments series, Henry (Have you ever been this low?). Including Lee’s well-known hand painted cloths and newer cardboard paintings, these works will be arranged in the loose setting of a domestic environment. The absent character that inhabits this imagined space is partially inspired by an unpopular civic politician from Lee’s home city of Hong Kong. The exhibition will encapsulate the emotions of a scorned man—where the accumulated shame and guilt of an ostracized public figure can be reflected upon.
Lee Kit is an artist who lives and works in Hong Kong. His work has previously been exhibited at Art Basel | Art Statements 42 (Basel), ShugoArts (Tokyo), MiArt (Milan), Bonier Konsthal (Stockholm), Royal College of Art (London) and Para/Site (Hong Kong). Upcoming solo exhibitions will take place at Project Fulfill Space (Taipei) and Galleria Dell’Arco (Palermo).
Special thanks to the Osage Art Foundation and Refind on Main for their generous support of this exhibition
