Intended for those who want to explore a career in the game industry, this five-day course will give you a unique opportunity to experience the dynamic role of a game designer. Explore the game development process from concept to completion, and get direct production experience in game art, level design, storytelling, and programming software. Bring characters to life in Unity and explore game development by prototyping your very own online game. Begin building a dynamic online portfolio and better understand the one-year Game Design program at VFS.

Course Details:

Dates: July 6 to July 10, 2026 (1 week)

Location: In-person, 151 W Cordova St

*Please note: You will be required on Day 1 at 8:30am to attend the welcome oritenation, after that your schedule will continue from 9am - 4pm (schedule provided a couple of weeks before start date)

General schedule time: 9am-4pm

What you'll need:

Headphones *Not Wireless

USB to take any projects home

Pen and a notebook to take notes

Prerequisites:

Students are not required to have any previous training or experience.

Applicants must be 16 years old at start of intensives

Language requirement: Intermediate-level English (minimum requirement of IELTS 6.0)
