VFS Fantasy Character Prosthetic Application (On-Campus) NOV 15, 2025

Step into the world of advanced character creation! In this hands-on workshop, you'll learn how to apply a professional-quality foam latex prosthetic using a bold, fantasy-inspired color scheme. We'll begin with a live demonstration covering the full application process, painting techniques, and a detailed overview of the materials and products used in the industry.

After the demo, it's your turn! You'll be provided with all the tools and materials needed to complete your own prosthetic makeup application under expert guidance. This intermediate-level class is perfect for makeup artists looking to expand their skills in special effects and fantasy makeup.

Course Details:

Dates: November 15, 2025

Duration: 1 Day

Time: Saturday, 9:00am to 4:00pm (1-hour break)

Cost: $400

2. Safety practices with various products and techniques
3. Product knowledge of adhesives, removers and makeup paint products
4. How to create a layered paint scheme with various products
5. Safe removal and clean up

Requirements –

1. Bring a hand towel for clean up, we will provide cleansers
2. Bring a lunch, snacks and beverages
3. Bring is your model for after lunch application. NOTE: Allergies or highly sensitive skin may prevent people from participating as models
4. If you do not wish to bring a model, you will apply on yourself. Great practise for Cosplay Artists!

3. Bondo
4. Spirit Gum
5. PAX Paints
6. Rubber Mask Grease Paints
7. Some alcohol paints
8. Some Acrylic Paints
9. Loaned brushes
10. Sponges, powder
11. Adhesive remover

NOTE: All painting will be done by hand and spatter brushes. You can bring in any of your own products and tools that you wish to use also, but no airbrushing.

Prerequisites: Students are not required to have any previous training or experience.
