Featuring members of Bath, Severed Arm and Big Ethel, their sound is heavy and bleak. Yet beneath the weight of crushing, mournful riffs is a hypnotic beauty and catharsis.Pure Love Eternal Peace was formed in 2020 by long time collaborators Lashen (guitar) and Michelle (drums) as a continuation of ideas and sounds they explored in their previous projects together, Amphibious Pariah and Xothogua (Montreal), that combine brooding doom metal with elements of blistering psychedelia and sludge atmospherics. In 2024 the current lineup with Rusty (Big Ethel) on vocals emerged to round out the trio, adding a visceral scream and commanding stage presence to the wall of sound.
