- **Event Description**: Are you ready to dance with us? We’ve put together an exciting class schedule for both beginner and intermediate dancers! Classes run on a rotating schedule every other month—Month 1 began in January, and the Month 2 rotation started in February.

Beginner Rotation: Is the rotation for each month

1st Wednesday: 6-count Lindy Hop basics - basic footwork, simple turns, and rhythm
2nd Wednesday: Partnered Charleston basics - basic footwork, variations, entry and exit
3rd Wednesday: 8-count Lindy Hop basics - basic footwork, simple turns, and rhythm
4th Wednesday: Intro to Swing-outs - basic footwork, rhythm, and body mechanics
5th Wednesday: Intro to the Shim-Sham group line dance - basic footwork, rhythm, and body mechanics

Intermediate Rotation:

Month 1:
1st Wednesday: Closed connection - pulse, rock steps, and moves within closed position
2nd Wednesday: Turns - prep, rotation, turns in motion, speed and momentum
3rd Wednesday: Speed - fast dancing and variations
4th Wednesday: Swing-outs - refinement and variations
5th Wednesday: Fancy footwork variations


Month 2:
1st Wednesday: Open connection - push pull, lateral connection, and working limits
2nd Wednesday: Momentum/Direction - lateral and rotational
3rd Wednesday: 6 count vs 8 count - how to tell the difference
4th Wednesday: Swing-outs - refinement and variations
5th Wednesday: Fancy footwork variations

The amount of material that we cover each week in all lessons will depend on the level of the group in attendance.

We're always open to requests at the end of the lesson as well.

Join us every Wednesday at the Valiant Ballroom in Downtown Vancouver Washington. Intermediate lesson 6pm Beginner lesson at 7pm, $10 dollars each includes social. $5 for just the social from 8-9:30pm. Members lesson and social free.
