SFU Communication Info Session and Student Panel

Curious about what it’s really like to study Communication? Want to know how current students are navigating their coursework, career goals, and passions? Join us for our information session, Communication from a Student’s Perspective.
Learn from current students how they adjusted to university life, what they learned in and outside of the classroom, and how you can prepare for your first day as a Communication student at SFU.

The session will begin with a 20-minute general presentation about SFU’s School of Communication, followed by a panel discussion and Q&A with Communication students of different years and experiences. This is your chance to get an authentic look at our Communication program from the students who know it best.

Whether you’re a high school student, a transfer student, or just curious about Communication, this session is for you!

Location: Room 1520, Barrick Gold Lecture Room, SFU Harbour Centre

The Barrick Gold Lecture Room (Room 1520) is located on the main floor of SFU Harbour Centre. Enter through the main doors at 515 West Hastings Street, near the corner of Hastings and Seymour. Once inside, take the main lobby hallway past the concierge desk, turn left down the hallway and follow the signs to Room 1520.

Getting to SFU Vancouver Campus Harbour Centre:

Transit
The nearest SkyTrain station to SFU's Vancouver campus is Waterfront Station, which is a brief walk from Harbour Centre. Waterfront Station is also served daily by SeaBus and the West Coast Express commuter train, and numerous buses serve the downtown area. Current schedules, route maps and fares for bus, SkyTrain, SeaBus and West Coast Express services are available through Translink.

Parking

There are no designated SFU parking facilities at the Vancouver campus, but there are many public parking garages in the area. Two of the closest garages to Harbour Centre are the Impark garage at 450 West Cordova Street and the Diamond Parking garage at 443 Seymour Street.
