A fifth-generation cedar weaver, the objects she makes extend directly from her practice of gathering and preparing wild materials. In 2021, a commissioned work of Sesemiya’s was included in the Vancouver Art Gallery’s presentation of Yoko Ono’s Water Event. Sesemiya is a proud member of the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Nation.Windermere Jazz Band is an off-timetable course composed of Grade 9-12 students. The Jazz Band offers students the opportunity to play many different styles of music within the jazz idiom, including blues, funk, Latin, swing, and rock styles. The Jazz Band is essentially a music community within the program, as they work together closely, go on field trips to watch and learn from professionals, and study the history of this incredibly diverse art form.BallyClaire is a Vancouver-based songwriter and self-produced artist originally from Australia, creating alt-folk/rock that moves between quiet confession and emotional release. Written across hundreds of songs over the past decade, her work explores grief, belonging, and the fragile beauty of being human. Her performances are adaptable to space and setting, shaped by atmosphere, presence, and connection. Influenced by Joni Mitchell, The Cranberries, and Adrianne Lenker, her sound blends folk intimacy with alternative edge. (Web/IG)Uncle Trent and Friends: Trent and Bryce watched their dad from a young age sit at the kitchen table and write songs. He always had a pot of coffee, a lit cigarette, and an old tape recorder. They would hide in the next room and listen to the stories their dad would create. Their love of music and storytelling would eventually inspire them to start performing alongside their dad and create their own space in the global music landscape. Founded by choreographer Vidya Kotamraju, presented by Dancing on the Edge and the Vancouver International Dance Festival, HOID's mission is breaking barriers in Indian dance, one step at a time. Her practice and research on ecosystem-based adaptation and socio-spatial justice is driven by curiosity, compassion and a love for nature. This is also reflected in her colourful illustrations and her work with Still Moon Arts. Pili’s art is inspired by their own fantasy, dreams, nature, as well as myths and legends from various cultures. This symbolises the shared human experience of wonder and curiosity of the world around us. (IG)Adriene Jenik is an artist, educator, scholar-activist, and death doula. In her work, she develops and shares creative processes that support personal introspection, social critique, community building, and cultural transformation. Her performances have been presented all over the world, written about in The New York Times, published in The Drama Review, and recognized by the Rockefeller Foundation. Jenik’s current creative activity spans “data humanization” performances, ECOtarot readings, and experiments in extreme experiential learning. Merging Chinese calligraphy with sustainable upcycling, she has worked with Still Moon Arts Society for three years on installations at Renfrew Ravine. Through Still Moon Arts, she has collaborated with many partners to create the Renfrew Ravine Moon Festival and other projects highlighting the ravine, Still Creek, and urban salmon. As a kid, Rose studied lantern making, stilt dance, fire spinning, and clowning with Still Moon Arts. Her lanterns are playful and striking, inspired by the hidden wilderness of Still Creek and the landscape surrounding Vancouver.Clover Duong: Hello! I'm a multidisciplinary maker working with sculpture, textiles, and installation. I explore the magic and emotions of everyday life, often using sustainable materials like reclaimed fabrics and tempera paint. I'm drawn to handmade, imperfect forms that show care and process. Through my work, I invite you to ask questions, play, and be a little silly with me. (Web)dria is an interdisciplinary artist, performer, and cultural worker whose work unfolds through sound, movement, voice, poetry, and interactive media. Their practice is rooted in witnessing as an artistic method, a relational act, and an ongoing process of inquiry. (IG/Web)Gamelan Turtle Bliss is a Vancouver ensemble playing Balinese gamelan gender wayang, an intimate chamber form of Balinese gamelan that accompanies wayang (shadow puppetry). The ensemble is centred around two pairs of metallophones and a gong. Since 2018, the ensemble has been performing mostly new works composed by Michael O'Neill, and premiered the shadowplay Show on Earth in September 2024 at Performance Works, Granville Island. The group is intercultural, with five gamelan players, including renowned Balinese musician and composer I Putu Swaryandana Ichi Ocha (Ryan), and three string players (violin, viola, cello).GlassBloom Studio: Sana Biden (Oxana Baydina) is a contemporary stained glass and mixed-media artist based in British Columbia. Classically trained in Moscow, she creates illuminated artworks inspired by insects, forests, wetlands, and mythology. Using vintage glass, mosaic, and layered mixed-media techniques, she explores light, transparency, and fragile ecosystems. Since moving to Canada in 2016, she has exhibited across BC. Best known as a Vancouver muralist, she also teaches mixed media and expressive arts to adults and in schools. She studied at Emily Carr College of Art and Design and has spent over thirty years cultivating community-based celebrations and public events, coordinating hundreds of multicultural performers, artists and musicians across Vancouver neighbourhoods. She is a recipient of a BC Achievement Community Award, the Mayor’s Arts Award and the Emily Award for her contribution to public celebration in the province. Her practice spans drawing, sculpture, time-based media, zine-making, photography, and digital design. Holding degrees in Visual Arts and Industrial Design (the latter inspired by environmental sustainability), she now focuses on creative work with children using recycled offcuts. (IG)Tiffany Yang is a Taiwanese-Canadian multidisciplinary artist specializing in natural-material upcycling, snow-sculpture storytelling, and performance art. She holds a degree from Emily Carr University in Interaction Design with a Social Practice and Community Engagement minor. Tiffany believes in everyday acts of kindness — picking up litter, smiling at pigeons, or sharing space and food with those in need. With a bit of focus and melded skills, they share their joy for the neighbourhood. They made their first lantern together in 2025 and felt inspired to go bigger this year.Willoughby Arévalo is an interdisciplinary artist, mycologist, and educator building relationships between humans, fungi, and other beings. He has worked with Still Moon Arts since 2013 as lead artist on community eco-art works, including We All Belong, Fruiting Bodies, and Beaver Pondering Lodging, and as contributing artist and educator elsewhere. (Web)Winderemere Secondary Leadership Program Students have created lantern installations for the Renfrew Ravine Moon Festival most years since the festival's inception.Yoko Tomito, originally from Osaka, Japan, has led many community-engaged art projects in East Vancouver, including street banners, the Salmon Creek and water fountain mosaics, and multicultural community murals. She also practices textile art and Japanese sashiko mending for upcycling clothing and teaches painting, sketching, and watercolour at an East Vancouver community centre.
