Indigenous students from all fields are welcome, particularly those interested in space, science, technology, education, policy, arts and culture, and related fields.About Dr. Shandin Pete:Dr. Shandin Pete (Salish/Diné) is an Associate Professor of Teaching in the Department of Earth, Ocean and Atmospheric Sciences at the University of British Columbia. Raised in Arlee, Montana USA on the Flathead Indian Reservation, he is a hydrogeologist, geoscientific ethnographer, and science educator whose work focuses on Indigenous astronomy, oral histories, Indigenous research methodologies, and Salish approaches to science and knowledge production.
