- **Event Description**: June 21 is National Indigenous Peoples Day in Canada. It is a time to recognize and celebrate the traditions, cultures, and contributions of First Nations, Inuit and Métis. Kitsilano Showboat welcomes Steven Seegert and Brad Henry on this important day.

Steven Seegerts is the Director of Urban Aboriginal Ministry in the Diocese of New Westminster. Steven Incorporates traditional ways of being with his faith including drum circle, the practice of smudging and the burn of the four sacred medicines Sage, Tobacco, Cedar and Sweet Grass as expressions of prayer and peacemaking.

Indigenous Elder Brad Henry wowed our audiences last year with his stories, singing, drumming and the insightful meanings behind his paintings. If you want to learn more about Indigenous art and Brad’s interpretations this is a must-see show. It will change you.

Kitsilano Showboat is excited to offer five nights of free entertainment every week this summer, Wednesday-Sunday, from June 17 - August 23, 2026. Showtime 7:00 pm.
