- **Event Description**: June 21 is National Indigenous Peoples Day in Canada. It is a time to recognize and celebrate the traditions, cultures, and contributions of First Nations, Inuit and Métis. Kitsilano Showboat welcomes back Katisha Paul and Steven Seegerts with their families and friends on this important day.

Katisha Paul, Kwikws Liisaos (Little Angel) is from the WJOLELP (tsartlip) and Lil'wat First Nations. She was a big hit with her dance and storytelling the past two years. Listening to the words of her cultural elders has given rise to her own voice to advocate for youth and teaching. She attends Thompson Rivers University.

Steven Seegerts is the Director of Urban Aboriginal Ministry in the Diocese of New Westminster. Steven incorporates traditional ways of being with his faith including drum circle, the practice of smudging and the burning of the four sacred medicines Sage, Tobacco, Cedar and Sweet Grass as expressions of prayer and
peacemaking.

Kitsilano Showboat is excited to offer five nights of free entertainment every week this summer, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, from June 18 - August 17, 2025. Showtime 7:00 pm.

Something different every evening. Always the most beautiful view in the world. Weather permitting. Program subject to change.
