The final concert of our 25/26 season AURUM could not get more golden than a new commissioned work by Sherryl Sewepagaham and A German Requiem by Johannes Brahms. Rather than the traditional prayer for the dead, Brahms’s Requiem is a personal and compassionate reflection on mortality that offers a deeply moving message of consolation and hope for the living. Join the Vancouver Cantata Singers with special guests the BERGMANN DUO for their presentation of this masterpiece of the 19th century, a work very dear to their and our hearts.
