The Town is a 20-minute long form based on a town that is known for something suggested by the audience. Perhaps it’s the town where Eggo waffles were invented, perhaps it hosts a prestigious dog show, perhaps everyone in this town has a moustache.You and your crew will explore this town and the web of characters within it while following the fun, playing the game of the scene and adding just enough narrative to make it satisfying. Come experience the thrill of building this show with Allie then debut this glorious form at a Bloc Fest 2025!This elective is one way into Bloc Fest 2025, a program that is designed to offer you a taste of what it’s like to do an improv festival. You and like-minded players will work with your coach on a special showcase and then throw that down at the Festival on December 11. Then you as an individual will jam with other festival players in the late show.But Bloc Fest isn’t just about the performing. It also features awards for best group, best player, etc., and once all the on-stage stuff is done, everyone goes out together and riffs about how great each other are. Many great groups and friendships have formed at Bloc Fests gone by.We highly recommend it to any improviser who is starting to get curious about what the wider improv world can offer. If a pre-chosen format or pre-set isn’t for you, you can also get a group of improv pals together and organize your own Bloc Team by submitting a Bloc Fest application by October 15 here.Refunds & Cancellations – Registration is non-refundable within two weeks of a class' start date. Refunds for class fees are available prior to the two week cut off, however Eventbrite fees will not be refunded.
