Are you, or anyone you know, interested in learning how horses and humans can collaborate to enhance physical, mental, social, and emotional well-being? If so, join us for a gathering of Equine Assisted Service Professionals from across the province as we explore how to use horses to help individuals reach their full potential.
The topics for the weekend will include rider biomechanics, engaging volunteers, and creating purposeful partnerships.
We will examine how horses can uniquely assist in addressing mental health issues, such as attachment theory and adverse childhood experiences, as well as a wide range of diverse abilities, including neurodiversity, cognitive, physical, and medical challenges.
Additionally, we will focus on the well-being of horses during our interactions, emphasizing positive reinforcement techniques and the importance of equine choice and consent. It is essential to care for our horses in ways that ensure they are happy, understood, and capable of working with their own consent and agency.
