AUS Humanities & Social Sciences Conference


The UBC Arts Undergraduate Society formally invites you to attend the 2017 AUS Humanities and Social Sciences Conference. Our annual event will showcase student-led research initiatives from a variety of departments within the Faculty of Arts, and continues the tradition of centring the various research topics around a theme in order to showcase the diversity and passion of student scholars. This year, our theme will be “Evolution and Identity”.

▣ KEYNOTES ▣

We are privileged to present Dr. David Edgington (Department of Geography) and Dr. Maxwell Cameron (Department of Political Science) as our keynote speakers.

▣ FOOD ▣

Attendance is free, and lunch will be provided courtesy of our sponsors, Scent of a Sandwich and Starbucks.

Registration & refreshments ▸ 8.00-8.45
Opening ceremony ▸ 8.45-10.00
First Panel Session ▸ 10.00-11.00
Second Panel Session ▸ 11.00-12.00
Lunch ▸ 12.00-1.00
Third & Final Panel ▸ 1.00-2.00
Closing ceremony ▸ 2.00-3.00
