This contributes to conditions ranging from anxiety and insomnia to burnout and inflammatory diseases such as diabetes and Alzheimer’s.Restorative yoga helps you make space to destress and promote parasympathetic activity. As we gently nudge our nervous system towards parasympathetic tone, restorative yoga allows the “rest and digest” system of our bodies to work and heal.Restorative yoga uses props like chairs, blocks, straps, sandbags, bolsters, and blankets to completely support the body and enable the mind and body to release tension, stress, and blockages.
