# Event Details - **Event Name**: Lyondemere Arts and Archery - **Event Start and End Date**: Sat, 21 Feb, 2026 at 08:00 am - **Event Description**: The Barony of Lyondemere is pleased to host our annual tournament to celebrate Archery and the Arts. We will be choosing new champions in Archery, Crossbow, and Bardic. The event will be on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at Woodley Park Archery Range in Van Nuys. We invite you all to join us for the thrilling competitions and beautiful displays. SCHEDULE 8 AM - Site Opens 10 AM - Opening Court / Announcements 4 PM - Closing Court / Champions Announced 5 PM - Site Closes ARCHERY: Come show off your archery prowess and compete for the Lyondemere championship! All competitors will participate in various novelty shoots, and top performers will move on to a Forester shoot. CROSSBOW: There will be a crossbow championship! This competition will also feature a novelty shoot! Loaner crossbows are available. ARTS AND SCIENCES: We will have space available for Arts and Sciences displays. Please contact the event steward with any special requests or concerns. BARDIC: We will be selecting a new Lyon Bard! Entrants should prepare two pieces showing a contrast (e.g. in style, medium, origin, etc.). All types of performance are welcome. Time limit of 12 minutes per performer. EVENT REGISTRATION: $20 Adult Event Registration, $10 Adult Member Discount Event Registration (with proof of membership). Children 16 and under are guests of the Barony. Please bring cash or make checks payable to SCA,Inc./Barony of Lyondemere. SITE RESTRICTIONS: This is a dry site. Extra-long stakes are needed when putting up pavilions or pop-ups. Children are welcome but must be supervised at all times by a parent or guardian. We regret to inform you that the site does not allow pets. From the 405 South: Exit at Burbank Blvd. and turn right toward Woodley. At Woodley, turn right. Look for a sign that bears the legend "Japanese Gardens." Turn right towards the gardens. Just before entering the gardens, turn right on the access road that traverses the park picnic grounds. Continue along this road until you reach the traffic circle. The Archery range is on the left, up the hill.
