The Barony of Lyondemere is pleased to host the Consort's Champion Ranged Weapons competition in honor of Her Royal Majesty Lorissa du Griffin. Come with weapons ready for Archery (Open, Period, and Crossbows welcome). The Championship will be held on Sunday, January 25, 2026 at Woodley Park Archery Range.
SCHEDULE:
8 AM - Site Opens
10 AM (at Her Majesty's leisure) - Opening Court / Announcements
- Lists closes 10 minutes after opening court
4 PM (at Her Majesty's leisure) - Closing Court / Champions Announced
5 PM - Site Closes
EVENT REGISTRATION: Adult Event Registration is $25 and Adult Member Discount Event
Registration is $15 (with proof of membership). Children 17 and under are guests of the Barony.
Please bring cash or make checks payable to SCA, Inc./Barony of Lyondemere.
CHAMPIONSHIPS: Lists will be run for Open and Period Target Archery and Open Crossbow.
As the ranges allow, additional contests may be held for bragging rights, fun, and frivolity.
SITE INFORMATION/RESTRICTIONS: This is a dry site. Seriously: Sharp projectiles and
alcohol do not mix. Extra-long stakes are needed when putting up pavilions or pop-ups. Children are welcome but must be supervised at all times by a parent or guardian. We regret to inform you that the site does not allow pets. Closed-toe shoes are required on every range. Parking is limited near the range, but overflow parking is available alongside the range, behind the paved lot.

DIRECTIONS: Woodley Park is in the Sepulveda Dam Basin Recreation Area, between
Burbank Blvd and Victory Blvd, 405 Freeway, Van Nuys, CA 91411 (5GJG+VM Van Nuys, Los Angeles, CA). Take your favorite route to the 405 and Burbank Blvd.
From the 405 North: Exit at Burbank Blvd. and turn left toward Woodley.
From the 405 South: Exit at Burbank Blvd. and turn right toward Woodley.
At Woodley, turn right. Look for a sign that bears the legend "Japanese Gardens". Turn right towards the gardens. Just before entering the gardens, turn right on the access road that traverses the park picnic grounds. Continue along this road until you reach the traffic circle. The Archery range is on the left, up the hill.
