- **Event Start and End Date**: Sun, 16 Nov, 2025 at 05:00 pm – Sun, 16 Nov, 2025 at 08:00 pm
- **Event Description**: On Sunday evening, November 16, it will be a magical night with the third in this fall's "Coming Home" supper series. Once again, Chef Vijay Sadhu will create a culinary experience beyond your imaginations. You won't want to miss it. DEADLINE TO REGISTER IS NOVEMBER 9!

In these suppers, we have heard stories in September of how a displaced refugee began a business from recreating her grandmother's beignets as a reminder of home. We have also shared, in October, our own food memories and family recipe stories.

For our November 16 supper event, we will continue down the path of this "Coming Home" series with the help of a local poet, Lander Bethel. Lander lives in Sherman where he and his wife, Genna, have raised their three sons. He has been the pastor of Grand Ave Presbyterian Church in Sherman since 1994 and in 2014 began a shared leadership ministry, serving both Grand Avenue and First Presbyterian Church, Denison.

Lander takes his membership in this community seriously. One mutual friends says:
"His advocacy is thoughtfully intelligent and generously inclusive. He serves Texoma communities in ways both challenging and courageous. His relentless focus on the highest aspects of human kindness filter into every aspect of his work and his life."

For a couple of decades, Lander has gotten together once a year with other writers as they explore creativity in different forms - primarily through sculpture, poetry, and photography. By the time of our November 16 supper, he will have just returned from this journey and we will be among the first to receive a rare gift as he will travel with our theme of "Coming Home" on his heart and mind.

Who knows? Perhaps we will all leave a little differently than we arrive - and maybe even see our journey towards home poetically and creatively with new ways of thinking.

Come join us in this circle of love and renewal that food and all of the creative ener
