- **Event Description**: Associated Pediatricians is excited to offer our Breastfeeding Basics class, led by our on-staff lactation consultant, Sarah Fogarty, RN, IBCLC. This class is designed to help expectant parents feel confident and prepared as they begin their breastfeeding journey.

During the session, participants will learn the fundamentals of breastfeeding a newborn, including what to expect in the early days, how to establish a strong latch, recognizing hunger cues, and tips for building and maintaining a healthy milk supply. Sarah will also share practical, evidence-based strategies to help troubleshoot common challenges and maximize breastfeeding success.

This class is offered in a casual, supportive, and no-judgment environment and is appropriate for first-time expectant mothers as well as parents who have breastfed before and are simply looking for a refresher. Questions are encouraged, and real-life concerns are always welcome.

Significant others and support partners are encouraged to attend, as their involvement can play an important role in breastfeeding success. Couples may register under one name—just be sure to include your partner’s name when prompted in the registration questions.
