- **Event Description**: Over the past year, the newly elected Valpo Soccer Club Board has been diligently working to strengthen and revitalize our organization. Since October 2024, our team has focused on ensuring the club’s stability, transparency, and growth, while honoring the commitment we share to our players, families, and community. 

We are pleased to share the following updates:

• Financial & Vendor Accounts: A conservative approach to expenses has been adopted, resulting in a stable financial position. All accounts are current and in good standing.
• Nonprofit Status: Before the current board was installed, a number of state and federal procedures were not followed that are required for maintaining legal entity status. After months of research and legwork, we are pleased to announce that we were reinstated as a legal entity as of January 2025. A thorough explanation of this process, where we are at, and where we’re going will be shared at our general meeting.
• Governance: Monthly board meetings have been held with full attendance, reflecting the dedication and teamwork of our board members.
• Facilities & Fields: Significant cleanup and improvements have been made to our property, with the grass progressing toward the best condition it has been in for years.
• Communication: Regular updates have been provided, covering key topics to keep members informed and engaged.
We thank you sincerely for your patience and support during this rebuilding period. Your trust has allowed us to lay a strong foundation for the club’s future. 

Looking ahead, we are excited about what’s to come. We invite you to attend our General Meeting on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at 6:00 pm at the Valparaiso Library in ‘Meeting Room B’ . This meeting is open to Valpo Soccer Club members only. Please join us as we discuss future plans. At this meeting, we also look forward to sharing our plans to expand the Board, with the goal of filling all positions and beginning the work of growing committees to better serve our club. 

Thank you again for being a vital part of the Valpo Soccer Club community. Together, we will continue to build a strong, positive, and thriving environment for our players and families.
