- **Event Description**: Join us as we celebrate the recovery of a patient that has required over a year of care, Turkey Vulture 24-380. 380 came to us over a year ago still covered in baby down. He had either gotten separated from his parents or something had happened to them, as he was wandering a field and starving.

380 had found some scattered feed and stuffed himself with dried corn, a meal he was unable to process and that we had to manually remove from his crop. 380 required weeks of intensive care to get him through his emaciation, including surgery to remove a GI impaction. 

He was also suffering from West Nile Virus, which caused extensive feather damage that left him unable to fly. After a year of care and optimal nutrition, 380 has a whole new set of flight feathers and has been conditioning his muscles in our 240' flight alongside 5 of our Bald Eagle patients.

This release event is included in our regular admission price of $12/car. We'll meet at the overlook deck at the end of Avian Avenue at 12pm for the release. Join us to wish 380 luck as he embarks on his next stage of life!
