VIEWS is an original musical project by Mark Axiak, a Maltese-Australian guitarist and composer who has resided in Malta since 2022. The project encapsulates the sound of daily life in Malta, from the city to the sea and fields, and all the traffic in between!

The debut album is currently in progress and features Malian percussionist, Sidiki Camara, known for touring/recording with artists such as Jack DeJohnette, Toumani Diabete and The Bill Frisell Quartet. Sidiki is one of the founders of the modern style of Manding music. Sidiki and Mark began VIEWS with the acclaimed Norwegian contrabass master Sondre Meisfjord, also appearing on the album.

Now, in Malta, VIEWS has become fully realised with performances around the island, delivering its carefully curated themes and rhythms to unsuspecting audiences.
