✊ Il-ġlieda għall-ġustizzja ngħixuha kuljum b’għemielna u bi kliemna, u l-arti kapaċi tkun ta’ ispirazzjoni għall-azzjoni. Ir-reżistenza ssib forma fil-kliem li nħarbxu bil-pinna u fil-mużika ta’ protesta. 

Se ninġabru biex ngħaddu messaġġ ċar: m’aħniex se nibqgħu siekta f’wiċċ il-korruzzjoni li ħatfet lil pajjiżna u quddiem ir-rabtiet tossiċi bejn il-politiċi u n-negozjanti l-kbar, li wasslu għall-assassinju ta’ waħda minna. Il-kriminalità m’għandhiex issib rifuġju fl-għola istituzzjonijiet tal-istat.

L-eluf li nġabru fis-16 ta’ Settembru wrew li ħafna nies mhumiex lesti jaċċettaw li dan kollu jintesa qisu qatt ma kien xejn. Imma l-azzjoni ċivika ma tibdiex u ma tispiċċax b’dimostrazzjoni waħda. Id-demokrazija teħtieġ ċittadini li jibqgħu preżenti, li jibqgħu jistaqsu, li jibqgħu jorganizzaw rwieħhom, u li jibqgħu jitolbu kont lil min għandu l-poter.

🎸 Din il-protesta ser tieħu forma ta’ kunċert, bil-parteċipazzjoni ta’ diversi bands lokali li jużaw il-mużika bħala mezz ta’ protesta.

Join us on Sunday 4th October, 4pm at Tritons’ Square, for the next protest demanding that justice is delivered - not only for Daphne Caruana Galizia’s family but for the people of Malta and Gozo.

✊ The fight for justice lives through our everyday words and actions, and art has the power to inspire action. 

From the pen, to the voice, to the guitar, we will gather to show that we will not remain silent in the face of the corruption eating away at our country and the toxic ties between politicians and big business that have led to the assassination of one of our own. Criminality must not find sanctuary in state institutions.

The thousands who gathered on the 16th of September demonstrated that the public is unwilling to accept that these issues are forgotten or treated as closed matters. 

Yet, civic action neither begins nor ends with a single demonstration. Democracy requires citizens to remain engaged, who keep asking questions, who continue to organize, and who persist in holding those in power accountable. 

🎸 This protest will take the form of a concert, featuring various local bands that use music as a means of protest. 

Come and express your anger. Malta deserves better.
