Double Standard is a punk/hc band based in Malta, with members from four different countries. Their debut full-length "Mt. Focus" (2023) features ten tracks of breakneck d-beat, focusing on systemic racism, cosmology, misinformation, anxiety, and the band's favorite actor Patrick Swayze. The record was positively reviewed by renowned international punk magazines Razorcake and Maximum RNR. 

A staple in the Maltese music scene since 2018, Double Standard have performed in an eclectic series of venues and events, including Rock the South,  Kinemastik Short Film Festival, and Spazju Kreattiv, where the band performed a fully improvised electronic set.
