What to Wear: This event takes place on a mowed lawn surface. Please dress based on the weather forecast for the day. Plan to wear closed-toed shoes or rain boots.
Recommendation: Bring a flashlight for 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM **Flashlights must be pointed towards the ground and not towards the education ambassadors to see inside their enclosures. Please plan to arrive early if you want enough time to see education ambassadors before the sunset.**
We have come to know an amazing young man, Jacob, through our Homeschool Science Classes at Stormy Oaks Nature Conservancy. You most likely interacted with him at our Fall Migration Festival as he gave you a warm welcome at the check-in table!
Please know that this will be a family friendly event and costumes are encouraged, but are not required. This event will be simplistic and fun! The nature trail, StoryWalk, and Octagon play area will be open so that families can explore during their time with us. The treats will be a mix of candy and non-candy treats.
The event will take place outside (weather dependent) from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM. There will be sensory friendly time from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM.
Please kindly know that our education animal ambassadors will be in their enclosures for their safety as costumes aren’t part of our daily attire. We want to all be respectful of their space.

The StoryWalk is a collaboration between Wildbird Recovery, Inc. and Mars Area Public Library! Combining physical activity with literacy, the nature trail at Stormy Oaks Nature Conservancy features each page of a story book on an outdoor sign along the way. Everyone is invited to stop and read out loud along with the story. The donation admission will be split between Wildbird Recovery, Inc. and Mars Area Public Library.
