What is a Meal Packaging Event?
It is an immensely fun, hands-on and rewarding experience for anyone of any age. A group of 150 volunteers (ages 3 to 103) can package 30,000 meals in just three hours. That means we need to raise 40 cents for each meal! ($12,000) You can help 3 ways: Pray, Donate Money, Volunteer your time on the 13th! The event is held at the Martin H Glynn Building. Helpers needed early for set up at 10:30, 12-3:30 to pack meals & then more to stay after for clean-up!

Rise Against Hunger's meal packaging program is a volunteer-based initiative that coordinates the assembly-line packaging of highly nutritious dehydrated meals composed of rice, soy, vegetables and 23 essential vitamins and minerals. Since the inception of the meal packaging program in December 2005, these packaged meals have been used primarily to support school feeding programs in developing countries.
Hunger doesn't have to exist...let's end it together.
PS - wear a hat or we'll provide a hair net for you! And yes, there are jobs that can be done while seated!
