Join us the Tuesday after Thanksgiving at 5:00 PM for a festive evening full of cheer in Vacaville's downtown at Merriment on Main. Vendors will line Main Street offering free sweets and goodies, and performers and crowd entertainers will captivate even the smallest kiddies. With eager anticipation, the beautifully adorned tree will be lit promptly at 6:30 PM.
Thousands of event goers will gather to experience the holiday extravaganza with music, lights, and plenty of holiday spirit. Mark your calendars, ready your ride, and get ready for a jolly good time!

- The City is excited to partner with Visit Vacaville to offer a Sensory Tent. More details and location information to come.
- The City will offer a Merry Market, for event attendees to browse items for purchase. The Merry Market will be located in a specific area, so as not to confuse with the free giveaways offered by community groups down Main Street.
Be sure to review our safety precautions due to crowding on Main Street. The aim is to offer an enjoyable and safe experience for everyone:
- No Stopping Zone: On Main Street sidewalks between Merchant and Davis Streets, pedestrian traffic must keep flowing.
- Viewing Zone: On Main Street, community members and visitors may stand and watch the lighting of the 2024 Holiday Tree.
- Accessible Seating zone: Located on Davis Street facing the Tree, community members who need seating accommodation may enter the roped off area along with one companion. Please note, companions may be asked to give up their seat to make room for those in need. The seating area will be available on a first-come, first-served basis until 6:15 PM at which time it will close for the Tree Lighting.
- Livestream: Two onsite, large live stream screens will be offered in Town Square and on the corner of Main and Dobbins Streets. For those unable to attend in-person, this year the main event will also be streamed to the City’s YouTube channel @CityofVacaville.
