Own a piece of Mare Island history! The Mare Island Historic Park Foundation is liquidating furniture and household pieces from Mare Island. We have approximately 20 pieces of furniture, and many photos, kitchen items, as well as decor for sale. Some of these are from Quarters B itself (one of the officer’s quarters). Others are from other officers’ mansions and quarters. Some are period pieces that have been donated to the Foundation over the years. All have been in storage for many years, and it’s time for them to find a new home. A portion of these items are well-preserved, but many need restoration.



Note that none of these items are “museum historic artifacts”. The Foundation is in the process of restoring the Admirals Mansion into a historic welcome center, as well as moving out of its former warehouse/museum space, and we have to find homes for (non-artifact) items that will not be part of the future vision.

The sale will run from 12-2, concurrent with our “Open Mare Island” tours. No early birds, please. If needed, we will have a “pick up day” for larger items the following Sunday (Nov 16) from 12-2.

This is a rare opportunity to take home vintage and functional pieces that reflect the elegance, craftsmanship, and daily life of Mare Island’s storied past.



Proceeds from this event directly support ongoing preservation and restoration efforts on Mare Island, helping us continue to care for these irreplaceable historic properties.
