# Event Details - **Event Name**: FolkFest - **Event Start and End Date**: Fri, 02 May, 2025 at 06:00 pm – Sat, 03 May, 2025 at 11:45 pm - **Event Description**: V-Dala spelmanslag och Philochoros i Uppsala bjuder in till FolkFest den 2-3 maj! Scroll down for information in english. Eventet riktar sig till studentspelmanslag och studentdanslag från Sverige (med omnejd), och såklart till alla medlemmar av Philochoros och V-dala spelmanslag. FolkFest sträcker sig över dagarna två och kommer bestå av EPTU (konsert- och danskväll), kurser och en sittning. Alla delar av programmet hålls på V-Dala Nation. Att klicka i "kommer" på FB-evenemanget räknas INTE som en anmälan, utan formuläret behöver fyllas i om man vill anmäla sig till sittningen. För enbart EPTU / Kurser krävs däremot ingen föranmälan. Preliminärt program: Fredag 2/5 EPTU! En kväll som startar med dansutlärning kl 18, följt av konsert kl 19 och därefter dans till spel. Uppträder gör Stora Vägen - en gitarrtrio bestående av David Albertsson, Hanna Enlöf och Peter Rousu. Ett separat event kommer som vanligt ut med mer information. Inträde: 100 kr för student, 150 kr för ordinarie. Observerat att detta EPTU hålls på en fredag och inte en torsdag som det brukar. Lördag 3/5, kl 11 - 15:30 Kurser! Ett utbud av intressanta kurser hålls i spel respektive dans, förra året fanns bland annat kurs i munspel för nybörjare, irländskt låtspel och jazzig schottis. Uppdatering kommer med typer av kurser närmare evenemanget. Kurserna är gratis och anmälan sker på plats kl 10:30 (det bjuds på kaffe!). Lördag 3/5, kl 17:30 - sent Sittning! En rolig afton med middag (vegetarisk huvudrätt och efterrätt) sker under kvällen. Det kommer bli sång och underhållning, följt av jam och dans till spellista. Egen dryck för middagen köps i baren men det ingår fördrink. Kostnad för sittningen är ca 400 kr. Betalningsinfo skickas ut på mail efter anmälan. Klädkod: Finklätt/folkdräkt. Philochoros dräktförråd kommer ut med information om uthyrning av dräkt! Vill man ta med +1 till sittningen går det bra, skriv isåfall det i anmälan. Boende Vi försöker ordna gratis boende till er som kommer långväga, i form av inackordering hos medlemmar. Om du har möjlighet att erbjuda eller behöver boende så fyller du i det i anmälan. Om du däremot redan har kontakt med någon du kan bo hos/ husera hos dig så behöver ni inte fylla i det utan då uppskattar vi att ni löser det på egen hand. The event is aimed at student folk music groups and student dance groups from Sweden (and surrounding areas), as well as all members of Philochoros and V-Dala Spelmanslag. FolkFest will span two days and include EPTU (a concert and dance night), courses, and a banquet. All parts of the program will be held at V-Dala Nation. The form must be filled out to register for the banquet. However, no pre-registration is required for EPTU or the courses. Preliminary program: Friday, May 2 EPTU! The evening starts with dance instruction at 18:00, followed by a concert at 19:00, and then dancing to live music. The band Stora Vägen, a guitar trio consisting of David Albertsson, Hanna Enlöf, and Peter Rousu, will perform. A separate event will be posted with more information. Entrance: 100 SEK for students, 150 SEK for regular attendees. Please note that this EPTU will be held on a Friday, not the usual Thursday. Saturday, May 3, 11:00 - 15:30 Courses! A variety of interesting courses in music and dance will be offered. Last year, there was a beginners' harmonica course, Irish tune playing, and jazzy schottis. Further updates on the course offerings will be provided closer to the event. The courses are free, and registration takes place on-site at 10:30 (coffee will be served!). Saturday, May 3, 17:30 - late** Banquet! An enjoyable evening with dinner (vegetarian main course and dessert). There will be singing and entertainment, followed by a jam session and dancing to a playlist. You can purchase your own drinks for the dinner at the bar, but the first drink is included. The cost for the banquet is around 400 SEK. Payment details will be sent by email after registration. Dress code: Formal wear or folkdräkt. Information on renting folkdräkter from Philochoros will be shared. If you'd like to bring a plus-one to the banquet, that's fine—just mention it in your registration. Accommodation We will try to arrange free accommodation for those traveling from afar, through hosting by members. If you can offer or need accommodation, please indicate it in your registration. If you already have arrangements for where to stay, you do not need to fill this in, and we appreciate you handling it independently.
