St. Gregory's Book Club

Join us on Tuesday, March 24th at 6:30 pm for a special Library Ministry Book Club meeting as we reflect together on The Chicken Runs at Midnight by Tom Friend.

This compelling local-interest story brings together baseball, faith, healing, and hope. The book’s unforgettable title itself became a powerful sign: “The Chicken Runs at Midnight” emerged as an unexpected message from heaven that inspired the Pittsburgh Pirates during the 1992 National League Championship Series and remarkably appeared again during the 1997 World Series—a reminder of how faith-filled moments can break into the world of sports and everyday life. While reading the book is encouraged, you do not need to attend the meeting to read it.

Our gathering will focus on using the book as a Lenten reflection, exploring how its message invites us to recognize a higher power at work, even in unlikely places. All are welcome. Come for thoughtful discussion, spiritual reflection, and meaningful fellowship.
