This event is designed to bring together players for a full weekend of competitive but friendly Flames of War gaming. Historical Theme judging will be based on reference material provided by the player including the army’s historical theme, painting scheme, and unit background. Army Lists Army lists must be submitted one week before the event. Please email lists to: williamjones1991@outlook.com Lists will be reviewed and printed for the event. Players are expected to ensure their lists are correct before submission. Points discrepancies may result in points deductions. Force Construction Forces may be drawn from: Any legal Mid War Force Book Or by discussion with the Tournament Organiser (TO) Forces may include: Command Cards Allied Units Allied Formations Forces may not contain Monsters or Monster Formations unless they appear on the Approved Monster List below. The approved list includes units that had historical use in the war, are not considered game-breaking, and help maintain balance between European and Pacific forces. If you are unsure whether a unit qualifies as a monster, please contact the TO. Decisions Players are expected to be familiar with: Flames of War 4th Edition Rules The latest Lessons From the Front updates Players should attempt to resolve rules issues between themselves first. If necessary, the Tournament Organiser or Assistant TO may be called to resolve the issue. The TO’s decision is final. Remember that this is a friendly event, even though it is competitive. Plenty of time has been allocated for games, so relax, have fun, and enjoy telling epic stories with your armies. Players who deliberately misinterpret rules, behave in an unsportsmanlike manner, act antagonistically, or enter staff areas may be removed from the event without refund. Models & WYSIWYG Players should make every effort to field a fully painted force (minimum 3 colour standard). Models should clearly represent the units they are intended to be. Proxy models may be used within reason, but they must be appropriate substitutes. Example: A Panzer III may represent another Panzer III variant It should not represent a completely different vehicle If multiple variants of the same tank are used, the models should be consistent across the army. Terrain To help run this event smoothly, we ask players to bring terrain where possible. All care will be taken to keep terrain safe, but no guarantees can be made. Events like this rely on the goodwill of players willing to share their terrain, and we greatly appreciate the support.
