‘Julius Caesar: 2024’ takes place in the Fall before the 2024 election, as a young, sophomore college student, on a mid-semester break, is abruptly woken up by a nightmare she’s having about the world, and finds her dad, out in the living room, not able to sleep and talking to Siri. It is there they have a conversation about life and how she must write a thesis on Julius Caesar, never having read the play nor seen it performed. It is there, they decide to watch the show together and watch the chaos and rebellion unfold with the audience by their side, and most importantly, realizing: there is always hope, you just have to look for it.
