Jewlya invites viewers into vivid,
dreamlike worlds where the boundaries
between human and nature dissolve.
Inspired by the literary works of Jeff
VanderMeer, these new paintings —
along with earlier works that explore a
surreal relationship between humans and
nature — delve into surreal ecologies
and the beautifully strange interplay
between the organic and the otherworldly.
