THE ARTIST
Elizabeth Moen is an Iowa-raised, Chicago-based songwriter whose music runs on indie rock grit and Midwestern folk warmth  - big, unguarded songs carried by one of the more remarkable voices working right now. Paste Magazine put it plainly: her voice "towers over the listener."

Here's the part we like: she taught herself guitar as a teenager and didn't play her first open mic until she was 20, as a French and Spanish major at the University of Iowa. Since then she's sung in Kevin Morby's touring band across the US and Europe, played guitar for Squirrel Flower, shared stages with Brittany Howard, Hozier, Lucy Dacus and Ani DiFranco, and been named to NPR Music's Austin 100. Her new record is produced by Spencer Tweedy  -  and she's releasing it herself.

THE EVENING
4:00 pm  -  Gates open. Free parking on site.
4:30 pm  - DJ Quin Kirchner, a Chicago jazz drummer playing deep cuts off his own vinyl.
6:00 pm  - Elizabeth Moen.

THE PLACE
Apple Blossom Resort in New Buffalo, Michigan: a private 18-acre estate in the heart of Harbor Country, just over an hour from downtown Chicago and minutes from Three Oaks and the lakeshore. This is a private event property, not a hotel. Two hundred guests per evening, by design.

· Food and drinks available all evening. Beer and wine for guests 21+ with valid ID.
· No outside food or beverages.
· All ages welcome. Service animals only.
· Rain or shine -  the music is under a tent.
· Accessible parking and accommodations available; contact us ahead of time.
· No re-entry once you've left for the evening.

Net proceeds benefit Neighbor by Neighbor, the New Buffalo Community Education Foundation and the Dune Coast Cares Foundation.
